Let there be no doubt! The Hillsboro Hops baseball team is a community favorite and provides a tremendous value and opportunity for sports fans to get out and watch some quality baseball. Not just any baseball because the Hops are Champions of the semi-pro league they play in. But there is more to the story.
The Hops have become a community favorite because the organization goes beyond just being a great baseball organization and understands what being a partner with the people is. General Manager K.L. Wombacher leads a talented staff of people for the Hops management team and with their goodwill ambassador Hoppy, the team is out and about in the community. From festivals to school events and beyond the Hops are there. Yes, it is smart marketing for the diamond boys but it is genuine. The patchwork quilt of the modern-day Hillsboro community is woven in part with a panel of two from this team.
That is why this upcoming Red Cross blood drive seems like a great chance for us locals to go and give of ourselves. 2020 has taken much from so many of us- but even yet we can give the gift of life. We hope to see you out there. And thanks to the Hillsboro Hops for hosting this terrific event!
We are partnering with the American Red Cross and hosting a blood drive at Ron Tonkin Field, Thursday November 12th from 10:00 a.m-4:00 p.m.
If you are able, please consider giving.
