Attention All Residents – Especially those who love downtown or live there.
The City of Hillsboro appears to be ready to move ahead with the old Hanks Thriftway property between 6th and 7th, TV Highway, and the MAX Light Rail.ย This 1-acre site holds the promise to be something special, and it should be.ย The City is seeking a plan that will include the requests of community members and at the same time be responsive to our new power players, Pacific University and OHSU Tuality Hospital.

Project Overview
Making Downtown Hillsboro a more vibrant, livable place continues to be a top community priority. The redevelopment of Block 67 will help further meet the communityโs goals for Downtown Hillsboro as well as enhance the connection between Hillsboroโs Health and Education District and the historic Downtown.
The City does not intend to retain ownership of the block in the long term, rather to work with one or more private developers that are capable of supporting the Cityโs goals for Downtown.

Iโd love to see a design that resembles what one sees at progress Downs or Lake Oswego. Grocery shopping like Trader Joeโs. A decent restaurant. Great parking
