The Hillsboro Symphony Orchestra will bring beautiful Chamber Music to the historic hall at the Walters Cultural Arts Center on Main Street in Hillsboro, Oregon.ย Since 2001 this talented group of musicians have brought music to Hillsboro and beyond.ย The Orchestra features members of ages from high school to seniors.ย Always a wonderful experience, the group just seems to get better over time.
The Hillsboro Symphony Orchestra provides a family-friendly musical experience for all audience members through entertainment, education, and cultural opportunities, while providing orchestra members a positive creative outlet for their own personal growth. The orchestra consists of dedicated members who graciously give of their time and talents, and who receive no compensation but take great pride in knowing they are enriching the lives of the Washington County community through a wonderful culture of music.
Led by Jeff Hornick, a 1981 graduate of Hillsboro High School and classmate of mine, the orchestra will fill the soaring wood-beamed hall with sounds so rich that they must be experienced.

Jeff Hornick, a Hillsboro native, served as HSOโs Associate Conductor before taking the podium as Conductor at the November 2022 concertย The Roaring โ20s. HSOโs previous conductor, Sharon Northe, retired prior to the beginning of the 2022-23 season.
The Hillsboro Symphony Orchestra returns to the Walters stage to present an evening of musical delight, taking the audience on a journey through jazz standards, contemporary compositions, and classical favorites.
Three of the Orchestraโs small ensembles will perform for this night full of musical magic: the Unexpected Trio (cello, violin, and piano), the Silver Linings Ensemble (violins and bass), and Jazz & the Harpist (harp, drums, bass, horns, and vocalist).
