EDITORS UPDATE: MONDAY is YOUR DAY to come and walk the street and enjoy the ART- Here is the Schedule for Today!

Day 1 of the LaStrada Dei Pistelli Chalk Art Fest is in the books, and day two is beginning. The Herald covered this event a month ago and its potential based on its two formative years in Beaverton. The event was a big bit on day 1, and today, Sunday (7/17/22), is the final day of this season. The artists are well on their way to completing some pretty amazing work on Main Street in downtown Hillsboro, Oregon. From 10:00 AM until this evening should be a prime time to see the street filled with color. The art will stay up, and the streets will stay closed until Monday mid-morning.
Use 222 East Main, Hillsboro, Oregon, as a starting point if you need directions.
Music is lined up today, and here is the schedule:

Here is a visual look at Day 1 of the festival and at what you can enjoy today!
Thank you!
Thank you for capturing and sharing this moment with all your audiences (and maybe folks who couldn’t attend) as you explored the event. I hope Sunday’s reveal of Cece, Zach, and Jennifer’s finished drawings were a delightful capstone to all our months of preparations. We are honored to have a home for La Strada in your city!

Year 1 was clearly a success in so many ways, and the weather was a great partner! This would be a great time to ask all the businesses for comments. Overall I am hearing great feedback. Some businesses lost appointments and meetings – particularly the salons (which we have 14) in downtown. I think a special area for those businesses to be offered parking, and a golf cart shuttle to their locations would be the solution. Sort of a VIP experience for those businesses that do not sell food or drinks or retail goods.
There can be no question that the ethereal experience of watching art come to life on the street was different than anything many of us have experienced. I personally appreciated the theme and the artists that came. It was REALLY important that you did not have a big food cart area or vendors. That guaranteed that our hard working restaurant and food businesses benefitted. I hope that continues. There is always room for improvement but now is a time to enjoy the ART (Today) and reflect on a great experience.
Thank you and TV Creates for the great event and adding serious value to the culture of our community!
Absolutely a wonderful, unique experience! We enjoyed meeting many of the artists, who shared how they create these amazing art pieces.
We also enjoyed eating a delicious Mexican late lunch at Emilios’. We never realized all the fun places in town! Being able to walk in the streets, and seeing various businesses, we agreed- we are going to come back again and try the different restaurants and the arcade!
Thank you for making such a family-friendly event! The little squares where people and kids could create their own art was a huge success!!
Great weekend! THANK YOU
and for posting the final art today! I have shared these photos with everyone I know!
