Tomorrow at 10 AM at City Hall,  Hillsboro State Senator Janeen Sollman will host a community conversation.  Citizens are welcome to attend, ask questions, and discuss what is on their minds.

At center stage could be Sollman’s leadership of the Joint Semiconductor Task Force, which has sent a massive bill with considerable implications to the floor of the Capitol for final tweaks.  Thousands of acres of prime farmland are at risk.  Thousands of jobs are potentially involved.  Landowners in Washington County on the edge of Hillsboro stand to make hundreds of Millions. Even more so, land all along Evergreen Road is being slated and promoted for Industrial rezoning under Sollman’s leadership.

Maybe these issues and others are reasons to attend and see what the well-liked and respected Senator is up to!

I find it unbelieveable that our local government officials are trying to push through this type of legislature and attempting to do so without any public feedback or more importantly – No Formal Appeal process available for those opposed to it. Our local leadership has gotten really good about asking for opinions, often via surveys, but for the most part ignoring any local input.
