Hey folks! Let’s end the week on a high note. The A & W Family will be back soon, and we could not be happier! Read the post from the Hillsboro Parks Department below. And I want to give a huge shout-out to them- I don’t think anyone else in the City does the level of work they do nor provides the level of happiness and service to the people of our community! They really are just an amazing public agency that takes care of us, our kids, seniors, and folks of all levels of special abilities!

Catch our Feb 2024 story on the History of Hillsboro’s A&@ Family, the restaurant, and more, right here- https://hillsboroherald.com/memories-of-hillsboro-aw-drive-in-cause-ripple-across-facebook/?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR1f2tFol3l7jlUIxeupAvr7qRIyzjjq2dEShzbMwtsjSEr5zyQig1pbM1Y_aem_JvwwaVtGs_duPLoWdpPxRA

10,000 of you read that story, and it garnered national attention.  Knowing about our town, the places and people that made it great, is the key to our collective sense of self.  It helps us understand who we are, where, and can be!

Also, as a bonus feature today, read the entire history of A&W in Hillsboro and the debate about Teen Burger’s disappearance. The original statue was never found, and many locals believe he is at the bottom of Hagg Lake after spending many nights between 1977 and 1980 at local keggers around the valley!

All of that and more right here- https://www.facebook.com/share/p/gkjE157U46idSkX2/

Some photos from my photo vault over time- enjoy, everyone!
