Community Information- Event Coming to Hillsboro

HILLSBORO, OR — Bag&Baggage Productions invites the community to raise a glass and support local theatre at 100 Cases: An Evening of Wine and Entertainment in Support of Bag&Baggage, on Sunday, Sept. 28, from 5–7 pm at The Vault Theater in downtown Hillsboro. Tickets are $40 and are available now at www.bagnbaggage.org.

This intimate event offers attendees the chance to enjoy a welcome glass of wine, appetizers, and live performances. Throughout the night, attendees can bid on more than 50 silent and live auction packages all featuring wine, spirits, and craft beers. Every dollar raised will fuel B&B’s bold productions and programs, and help sustain the theater in the face of significant financial challenges, according to B&B’s Founding Artistic Director and Chair of the Artistic Leadership Committee Scott Palmer.

“This event is about more than wine,” Palmer said. “It’s about coming together as a community to ensure Bag&Baggage continues to bring bold, adventurous theatre to Hillsboro. By joining us for 100 Cases, our supporters can enjoy extraordinary wines and experiences while making a tangible difference in B&B’s future.”

The evening’s auctions feature some of the Willamette Valley’s most sought-after bottles and experiences:

  • The Domaine Serene Collection — A rare case of Domaine Serene wines valued at over $1,500. This highlight package includes six Pinot Noirs (vintages 2018–2021) and six Chardonnays, including exclusive limited editions and member-only releases.

  • Exclusive Wine & Food Tastings — Private tasting events at Cana’s Feast, Oak Knoll, and Blizzard Wines, each pairing celebrated vintages with curated bites.

  • Award-Winning Local Wines — Cases from acclaimed producers including Dion Vineyard, Utopia Vineyard & Wines, and community favorites like D’Anu, 3 Goats Vineyard, and Resolu Cellars.

From luxury bottles to unique experiences, 100 Cases offers patrons an opportunity to take home world-class wine while supporting a cornerstone of Hillsboro’s arts community all in support of B&B’s Bridge the Gap Campaign, which seeks to raise $60,000 by December 31, 2025. Like many non-profit arts organizations, B&B faces ongoing financial pressures from the pandemic’s impact, rising costs and shifting funding landscapes. Without critical support, the theater risks reducing programming, canceling shows and an uncertain future.

According to Board Chair Bianca McCarthy, this event is an opportune chance to positively impact B&B and change that uncertain path.

“100 Cases is a joyous night of wine and community, and it is also a crucial part of our Bridge the Gap campaign,” McCarthy said. “Every ticket and every bid moves us closer to our $60,000 goal by Dec. 31, keeping performances on our stage, artists at work and our theatre vibrant in downtown Hillsboro.”
