Linda Letra is a local, independent bookstore in NE Portland that specializes in high-quality Spanish and bilingual literature for children. As part of the pop-up at the FLIP Museum, Linda Letra will offer some educational toys in addition to their books, specially curated to promote STEAM.ย You do not have to visit the museum to shop at the pop-up- but it’s great to do both! From 11/28 – 12/31, visit Linda Letra on the westside inside the FLIP Museum to explore, create, and discover beautiful books for your little hispanohablante.
FLIP museum executive director, Jack Graham, and Linda Letra Bilingual Books owner, Rachel Kimbrow, are hopeful the holiday pop-up will turn into a long-term partnership, supporting multilingual and Spanish literacy in conjunction with exploration, creativity, and fun found at the FLIP Museum!ย Both Graham and Kimbrow understand that bilingualism is a superpower to be celebrated and nurtured!
About Linda Letra Bilingual Books
Linda Letra Bilingual Books was founded in 2022 by Rachel Kimbrow, M.Ed, as an extension of her dedication to equity through literacy. With twenty years of classroom experience in both the US and Latin America, she saw the lack of quality Spanish language books in her community and wanted to bring beautiful stories to families, classrooms, and libraries. Clients include bilingual programs, schools, and families looking for high quality and award-winning bilingual, Spanish, and English books. The first brick and mortar opened September 2023, located at 7101 NE Glisan St., Portland, Oregon
