Here we go, kids!  The sun is back, as are the events that transform Hillsboro’s Downtown district into the city’s living room annually.  Tonight the fun starts with Friday Night Bites in the parking lot where D’Anu Wine Bar and Decadent Creations is located.  Music, drinks, and great food carts descend onto the lot to the delight of those in attendance, which is always a mix of locals, visitors, kids, dogs, and townies!

Catch Friday Night Bites at 171 NE 3rd Avenue in Downtown Hillsboro.

After the fun stops at 8 PM you would be wise to slide on down the block to Pizzario, where live music, drinks, and more food awaits.  There is a lot to do on Main Street in that area.

Saturday, the real starter to the market season starts.  Hillsboro Farmers’ Market is #BACK, and with that, we see the return of great local produce, vendors, wine, food, and so many great offerings.  The first market is always my favorite because everyone coming out is so excited to shake off the rust and enjoy the day!  Food options are plentiful at the market and downtown- my favorites are Top Burmese and LaMixteca Oaxaca, both at about 2nd and Main.  Farmers’ Market is Saturday in Downtown and Sunday at Orenco Station.

Now if that is not enough to keep you rolling, you are in luck!  Tuesday Night next week is the monthly First Tuesday Art Walk in Downtown.  The event keeps growing and adding more and more artists.  It is a fun night to stroll along, see art, and watch music at a wide array of venues.  The music is all local artists making their way up and giving outstanding performances.  Check out this line up!

Check out Catherine Bede Gallery on Main, the Sequoia Gallery and Studios on 3rd and Main, and other Art stops while you are out at this event. Great local artists abound in #DowntownHillsboro.

Lastly, Tuesday Night Market will be back on June 15th, 2023.  That adds a grand event to this mix.

The time is now- this is the Weekend!  Whatever you do, stay safe, and have fun!  #GoHillsboro
