Elon Musks Move Against Bit Coin Supports Heralds Assertion About Data Centers

2 Degrees.

2 tiny little degrees, that is all it will take.

Many studies show that those 2 degrees will cause sea levels to rise about 8 feet and that dry spells and heat waves will lay waste to a lot of the fertile land here in the US.

If you believe Elon Musk is an intelligent man then you probably want to pay attention to his move this AM to ban Tesla’s acceptance of BitCoin.ย  To earn BitCoins data miners have to spend hundreds and thousands of dollars of energy.ย  That energy is used again when BitCoin is spent.ย  This vicious wasteful and idiotic cycle is in fact causing computers, like the tens of thousands being installed in Hillsboro Data Centers, to use so much power that they will heat up the Earth by 2 degrees.

2 Degrees – who cares?ย  We all should.

In February I wrote a well-researched story that focused on the 5v massive data centers coming to Hillsboro, why they came, and the effects they will have on the environment.ย  We estimated that that data centers worldwide could increase worldwide temperatures by 2 or 3 degrees.ย  ย This morning Elon Musk concurred and in a few minutes collapsed bitcoins value; at least for now.

Here in Hillsboro our Council is about to make it mandatory for all of us Citizens to pay a significant sum to have our homes energy score done (when we sell) and fine us if we do not comply.ย  This will save no energy in and of itself and will punish our less fortunate homeowners who are unable to pay for expensive upgrades.ย  ย  That same Council has encouraged and allowed tens of millions of dollars in tax incentives to be offered to the Data Centers which create almost no jobs and yet have the potential to destroy the world’s climate.

How can allow this?ย  Can they not see the direct impacts?

Crickets.ย  No responses.

2 Degrees.

Who cares.

Thank you, Elon.
