It’s that time of year, folks! With the air show behind us, high school graduations are happening, and blossoms are in the air. Summer is now two weeks away. Hillsboro, Oregon is no doubt one of the best places to spend the sunny months regardless of what is happening- the climate is perfect and Hillsboro is a happening place!
But the good people of our community have come to expect so much more. And so it is that our City and a vast number of organizations and volunteers are once again all in to make Summer fun to the Max! Thanks to the Hillsboro Farmers’ Market staff, the farmers’ market is already in full swing! The Hillsboro Hops are rocking the baseball season with fireworks and fun several nights a week. And Tuesday Night Market, the party of the Westside, starts in a couple of weeks. And that is just the top of the iceberg.
As released by the City of Hillsboro this week, the Herald amplifies this schedule and these events. There is absolutely something for everyone. And there are DOZENS of events. Go to one or 100. This is lining up to be an epic Summer—and isn’t that just what we need in these stressful times? I can not wait for Tuesday Night Market, which takes place right in front of our offices at 222 East Main and all of historic Downtown. The Showtime Concert series at Shute Park is fantastic too. The El Sol Festival, the 4th of July Parade, and the La Strada dei Pastelli Chalk Art Festival are also favorites of mine. Here is the lineup and some screenshots of the upcoming events- thanks to the City of Hillsboro for the information.
