Get ready to taste the best Coffee you have ever tried! Thanks to Mark and Rene Bennett of Bennett’s Urban Farm Store, you won’t have to travel far. The Bennetts are putting on the Coffee Fair 2024 this Sunday at the Blue Ox Axe Throwing Pub at 264 East Main Street, Hillsboro, Oregon. The Bennetts are bringing 10 Washington County coffee roasters to this fun event, which will run from 10 AM to 2 PM. Each roaster has sourced their beans from around the world, roasted them, and used the science of the craft to create what they hope will be award-winning coffee!
I attended the Coffee Fair 2023, and it was stellar. I had some of the best coffee ever and learned about roasting and the entire process. It was fascinating, and everyone in the roasting community was willing to share and teach what they knew. Mark and Rene are fantastic coffee people who have learned the craft to the point of excellence. Nowhere in Hillsboro or beyond will you find fresher coffee from exotic lands than at Bennett’s store, where you can buy beans, ground coffee, fresh coffee, espresso, and thousands of other locally sourced food items. Beyond that, Mark and Rene are indeed Community Leaders. They are leading the way for many of the other local roasters who are networking to build quite a web of businesses that have grown around taking the coffee cherry (bean) and making America’s drink out of it. Jobs, storefronts, and products result from these joint efforts, not to mention that Hillsboro (the City that Works) is powered by their products!
