Hillsboro Holly Days Is Saturday With Tree Lighting At 6 PM

Big Event Hits Downtown This Weekend

This weekend, the Hillsboro, Oregon, Holiday Tree will be lit in the Tom Hughes Civic Center Plaza.  Located between 1st and 2nd Streets on Main Street, the Tree will be set ablaze with lights at 6 PM, Saturday, November 18th.  The annual event is getting bigger every year, and this should be the biggest ever in terms of attendance.  Expect thousands to be there.

Here is what Hillsboro Downtown Partnership has to say about the event- which is loaded with things to do between 2 and 6 PM.

Celebrate the holiday season at the annual Holiday Tree Lighting & Artisan Fair in Historic Downtown Hillsboro on Saturday, November 20th. Artisans showcase their best handmade work at this bustling market, while carolers, live music, and activities for all ages abound. Downtown merchants will also be open for business with a variety of in-shop activities and promotions. The Civic Center Plaza will be full of holiday cheer and excitement leading up to the awe-inspiring tree lighting at 6:00 pm.

A LOT is going on, so check out the options:

  • Street Vendors and retailers will be open from 2-6- It looks like 100 great booths you can visit! https://www.tuesdaymarketplace.org/holly-days-vendor-list
  • Kids Village from 2-6 PM at the Civic Plaza with events and interactive fun galore!
  • Choirs, local musicians, and more music from 2-6 PM with Holiday sing-alongs too!

Look, folks, this is a fantastic time, and a lot is happening here!  So go check it out and get into the spirit of the season!
