Hillsboro, Oregon has been named to the Top 50 places to live in America by Money.com which was previously Money Magazine.ย  The list was just released and you can read that article here.

The criteria for selection is fairly complex with Money advisors using a Matrix of criteria that require any city on the list to be 25,000 in population.ย  Employment rate and opportunities, educational levels, diversity, cultural opportunities, amenities, housing costs, and more.

Hillsboroโ€™s not all business, though. The community has several breweries, including Vertigo, Ambacht, 3 Mugs and Deep Space, and a number of sprawling vineyards and wineries, too. You can book a vineyard tour and wine tasting at Helvetia Winery for just $20. Reviewers seem to like the pinot noir, if you need a recommendation.

Money.com

Hillsboro was the only City in the Pacific NW to make the list.ย  ย 2018 saw Hillsboro listed at #39 while the City did not make the list in the past two years.ย  ย The Money rating is one of many that comes out annually and is for sure a positive reflection nationally for Hillsboro.

We have much to improve upon here in Hillsboro but the People of Hillsboro and our corporate and civic bodies all get a big High-Five for making the list!
