UPDATE:  VICTIM FOUND AND SUSPECT ARRESTED

AT 7:44 AM the Hillsboro Police Department Notified the Herald that they had found the victim safe and arrested the assailant.  This was a fantastic job by HPD, and we have to thank the thousands of citizens who read our story, responded to the released footage, and helped make this fast arrest possible. Lastly, we recognize the supreme commitment made by the brave homeowner who called the police within minutes of this event being caught by her door camera.  She remains anonymous for now!!  Thank God this was resolved, and everyone is safe- the suspect was arrested!

About 22:45Hrs, on Sunday 04-21-2024, the above pictured female was caught on doorbell cam crying for help before she was picked up and carried away by the above pictured male. They appear to have left in a white pickup (probably an extended or crew cab pickup without a canopy).
This occurred at a residence in the area of SE 32nd Ave and E Main St in Hillsboro, OR. The Hillsboro Police are actively investigating this incident as a possible kidnapping incident. If you have any information about this incident (or the identities of either the victim or suspect), please contact the Hillsboro Police (nonemergency dispatch 503-629-0111) or 9-1-1.
