The Herald is sharing this news from the Hillsboro School District.  The Superintendent is having a couple of community coffee chats to answer questions, discuss some things, share information, and gather feedback.  This is one of the only times in recent years that a top public official in Hillsboro has made themselves available for a sit-down and Q&A.  This is refreshing and should be supported – I know I am interested in meeting the Superintendent and look forward to a continued great relationship with the Hillsboro School District, both personally and from the standpoint of the Herald’s editorial chair.  Here is the 411:

Superintendent Travis Reiman will hold two Coffee Chats this spring as an informal way to connect with HSD families and community members. These casual, no-host, drop-in events at local coffee shops complement other meetings he will have with specific constituent groups over the course of the school year to both share information and gather feedback.

Thursday, Apr. 18, 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Starbucks, 7415 NE Imbrie Dr., Hillsboro (stand-alone store in the Fred Meyer parking lot); 503-747-1100.

Tuesday, Apr. 23, 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Ava Roasteria, 936 NE Orenco Station Loop, Hillsboro; 971-713-2136.

Superintendent Reiman is bilingual in English and Spanish. Translation in other languages is available upon request at least 24 hours in advance by calling our Language Liaison team at 503-844-1429.
