It has been a long wait but Hillsboro finally got to have its Tuesday Night Party which has been a favorite of residents for years.ย  Tuesday Night Market had a BIG opening Night on June 14th with thousands coming into historic downtown for the food and festivities.ย  We were able to obtain some drone footage that tells the story more than any words ever could; so take a couple of minutes to have look at what went down!

From the food to the music on the Court House lawn, the event was a total hit.ย  Those in attendance could feel the outlet of energy, and the celebration that ensued was wonderful.ย  It reminded all of us in attendance what a privilege it is to be able just to go out and enjoy our town and each other.ย  Vendors selling items of all sorts lined Main Street from 1st to 3rd Avenue.ย  Stores were open, restaurants seemed busy, and the evening was perfect.

Power Pop musical group The Macy Guard Band delivered with hundreds settling in along the historic courthouse lawn and gardens.ย  The market management has lined up some terrific music for the rest of the event run which will continue every Tuesday night throughout the Summer with the final event on August 30th, 2022.ย  Check out all the music right here.

Each week also hosts a Cruisin with Classic Cars lining the street on 2nd Avenue between Main and Lincoln.ย  Each week an award is given for the best of show, and car fanatics, young and old, will love this portion of the evening.ย  If you would like to enter, you can do that right here.

What the market really needs is YOU to volunteer.ย  There are free meals and some other benefits on the line and your town could really use your help.ย  If you or someone you know can do that you can sign up here.ย  The event really needs your help!

All of you Artists- Tuesday Night Market is seeking artists to apply to be the Artist of the Week.ย  If selected you will receive a free booth and be featured at the event.ย  This is your chance to step up and show your stuff.

Lastly, the Hillsboro Learning Center, which is located in the heart of downtown, is offering nature classes and expeditions at their location.ย  You can leave the littles at camp and go off and eat and dance and make merry!ย  What a great interactive series featuring Aaron Campbell, a nature specialist who teaches at Jackson Bottoms wetlands!ย  It is additional features like this that our local businesses put on that just make Tuesday Night Market even better.

The Herald will be at every Tuesday Night Market, and we hope to meet some of you there and hear your Hillsboro stories!ย  Congrats and tip of the cap to the management team at Tuesday Night Market on such a successful opening night!ย  Here is to the rest of the season!
