Hillsboro Water Rates Set To Rise Amid Pandemic Woes

The City of Hillsboro Water Department carefully manages drinking water rates, and strives to ensure equity and affordability for all customers. Water rates are designed so all customers pay their fair share based on how they use Hillsboroโ€™s water system and how much water they use.
From Sept. 9 to Oct. 30, 2020, community members will invited to provide input on the proposed water rates for 2021, including at a Water Rate Public Hearing – Zoom Teleconference at 6:30 pm on Monday, Oct. 12, 2020.

Public hearing written testimony can be submitted via email, and community members may pre-register to speak during the virtual public hearing.

All comments will be gathered and shared with the City of Hillsboro Utilities Commission ahead of their Nov. 10, 2020, vote on the proposed water rates for calendar year 2021.
