There are a lot of great events lining up to make the 2022 Summer one to remember. Here is Hillsboro citizens will be able to enjoy concerts, parks events, the return of the 4th of July Parade, and the County Fair. Another great event will make it’s first appearance in Hillsboro after a couple of incredible years in Beaverton. It is known as the La Strada dei Pastelli Chalk Art Festival and willit will feature a free two-day summer art festival with professional chalk artists, live performances, art vendors, family activities, and more!
Main Street between 1st and 4th will explode with color at the hands of some of the finest artists in the country as they create lifelike chalk art on the streets for all to enjoy. Add in music and food, not to mention our great local shops and eateries, and visitors will be in for a real treat. I personally have seen some of this art and believe me when I say it is awe-inspiring. This event is one for all ages to enjoy and we can not wait to see you all out.
Thanks to Tualatin Valley Creates for bringing this event to Hillsboro and to the City and Philanthropist Pat Reser for making this all possible. We hope to see you all there.

About this event
La Strada dei Pastelli Chalk Art Festival is an annual Washington County multi-cultural event unlike any other offered in the Portland Metro region. During this FREE two-day summer festival, the public will be able to see nationally-recognized, and emerging visual artists use bold, colorful pigments to create larger-than-life drawings down the center of the street(s); most averaging 10’x10’.
Simultaneous with the visual arts exhibitions, local performing artists fill the air with rhythm and sound from the festival’s main stage. Enjoy watching the performances with food and beverages (including beer and wine) from a selection of food carts.

Local art vendors also line the streets offering unique items and inspiration to attendees. Children of all ages are encouraged to take part in hands-on activities provided by local nonprofit organizations. The annual summer art festival, being held along E. Main Street between 1st to 4th in downtown Hillsboro on the 3rd weekend in July, combines community engagement and art appreciation into one FREE fun-filled weekend!
