Here is a post for you good people of Hillsboro.  An outstanding student from Liberty High School in Hillsboro, Oregon, has organized a Musical Theater Day Camp for next weekend on Saturday.  Kelly Cadiz, a Senior at Liberty High School, and Drama Teacher Janet Vanwess, have put together a cool weekend camp to engage children in music, dance, sound, and acting.  Kelly has a passion for musical arts, something that is so important to all of us and especially our youth!  She wants to share the love she has with our area kids.  Those attending will put on a production at the end for their parents and loved ones.  This is such a great idea- a shorter format event to engage kids.  So many times, we just do not have the time or money to enroll kids in longer format offerings.  This is an awesome way to engage kids and hopefully give some of them a passion to do more!

Here is the 411

Kelly posted this to her FB page:

Hi everyone! My name is Kelly Cadiz I am a senior at liberty high school and a proud member of the Liberty High drama club. On January 14th your children have the opportunity of sharing my passion for the musical arts. Myself along with Mrs. Vanwess are hosting a Kids Musical Theater Camp! Children will learn how to dance, act, sing, and explore new talents all in the name of the arts. At the end of the camp, the children will put on a free performance for all their loved ones. Please refer to the flyer and contact myself or Mrs. Vanwess if you have any other questions. I look forward to seeing your kids and Go Falcons!

#GoFalcons Indeed!

Important Note to All:  Although the camp is $50, Kelly and Mrs Vanwess want everyone to attend who wants to – if monetary issues would keep a child away they want to scholarship kids-  so please contact Janet Vanwess at this address email vanwessj@hsd.k12.or.us

Take advantage of this great offering – we need more of this!
