Jacquie Roar, a North Plains resident, is becoming a household name around these parts. The singer-performer has been a hit at events and parties for years in Oregon and has made some inroads into the music business. Making it “big” is next to impossible. But perseverance and a no-quit attitude have kept Roar alive and well in the hit NBC’s The Voice. She received a four-chair turn from all the judges within seconds of her first effort on the show this year. She chose music icon Gwen Stefani as her coach. But after a couple of weeks, Stefani decided on another team member to move on after a head-to-head competition, leaving Roar on her way off the show. That is when competing judge Reba McIntire jumped in and stole Roar.

She chose the Fleetwood Mac smash hit The Chain, which seemed untouchable once sung by the incomparable Stevie Nicks. Jacquie’s performance left Stefani in awe. Her composed control over the song’s raw energy was truly remarkable. Gwen was equally impressed and couldn’t help but express her admiration. She was amazed by Jacquie’s confidence and ability to turn the song into the perfect ‘Voice’ competition moment. With each passing moment, Jacquie turned up the gears, making the performance louder, stronger, and more intense.
As a result of her excellent performance, Jacquie Roar made it through the Playoff round and was one of the three Team Reba Artists still standing. Along with Jordan Rainer and Ruby Leigh, Jacquie is now set to take the stage in the Live rounds, the show’s biggest spotlight yet.
