HILLSBORO, Ore. – South Hillsboro’s Reed’s Crossing continues to grow into a vibrant hub of homes, parks, schools, and local services — and now, it has a new community banking option. On Saturday, September 20, 2025, OnPoint Community Credit Union celebrated the grand opening of its 58th branch, welcoming residents with a festive event and a $5,000 gift to support local youth.

Located at 7833 SE Blanton Street, the new branch offers full-service financial support, along with free one-on-one counseling through OnPoint’s partnership with GreenPath Financial Wellness. The addition strengthens financial access in a part of Hillsboro that has historically had fewer in-person banking options.

As part of the celebration, OnPoint donated $5,000 to the Portland Opportunities Industrialization Center (POIC), which funds education, mentoring, and workforce development programs for underserved youth and families.

“Reed’s Crossing is a vibrant, growing community, and we are excited to be here to serve families and local businesses,” said Laurissa Bybee, branch manager.

“These funds will directly support education and mentorship that prepare our youth for meaningful futures,” added Charles Manigo, program manager at POIC.

The grand opening highlighted not only Hillsboro’s rapid expansion but also OnPoint’s commitment to being part of that growth. For South Hillsboro residents, the new branch represents another step in building a complete, connected neighborhood.

The Herald welcomes OnPoint to Reed’s Crossing and wishes them many years of success serving the greater Hillsboro community.
