From Erin Knight – Local Resident Invites Everyone To Meet Candidate Myrna Munoz
Note: Munoz is gathering support from leading organizations that back traditional Democratic candidates and is raiing eyebrows from party regulars as a People First Candidate who is on the record supporting the average residents of the district over special interest groups who have backed her opponent, sitting State Senator Janeen Sollman- see the feature story at:
Ready to do something local?
I’ve never publicly supported a candidate in the Democratic Primary for a state race, but I’m here to say I believe in and trust Myrna Muñoz! She is running for the Democratic nomination for the Oregon Senate District 15 in Washington County. We are having a party for her at The Farm, and I really hope you can come out!
Music, free food, progressive discussions, prizes.

Myrna cares about the same things we do. She recently helped lead the fight against giving data centers more tax breaks in Oregon. As a bilingual leader and education specialist, Myrna champions civil rights, strong public schools, and access to health care for multilingual and working families across Oregon. Her campaign for civil rights, the environment, and economic justice is grounded in lived experience.
The event is from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 4th, 4825 NW Starr Blvd, Hillsboro.
Location: the Haag farm (now called the Shute-Meierjurgen Farmstead when we got it listed in the National Registry of Historic Places in 2018). The farm is now surrounded by data centers and a large Amazon delivery center. (see pic below). If you’ve ever been there before, you’ll be pretty shocked.
Come on over, donation not required! Myrna asks that you bring your questions on any issues on your mind.
You do not need to RSVP, but feel free to send one to me at: backbeat12@gmail.com, or 503-789-5257.

Meanwhile, while one candidate was meeting constituents at a historic farm now walled in by data centers, another was calling the mere fact that she was facing a primary “bullying” and “abuse”: https://www.wweek.com/news/state/2026/04/05/state-sen-janeen-sollman-says-two-prominent-unions-resorted-to-bullying-and-intimidation/
You noticed that too? Wow, poor thing is really a victim politically. She has all the money, the seat, and the power, and her record is clear. Now we are going to cry Bullying? Wow –
