If you have never been to Puppernickel and you are a pet owner & lover you are missing out.  If you have never met the owner, Krystal Monroe, you are really missing out.  This little shop at 133 SE 3rd Avenue, Hillsboro, Oregon is such a special spot that it is hard not to want to hang out and talk and just take it all in.  Carefully procured in the store are everything from specialty dog and cat toys to naturally baked pet cookies!  With razor focus on her market, Krystal has worked through the Covid crisis and survived.

She is a consummate marketer and always leading on bringing new products into the store.  Buyers will find pet toys, treats, cookies, health products, brushes, and a fantastic supply of healthy foods that you won’t find anywhere else.  Add to that Candles for pets and owners, pet clothing and packs, and CBD products and you have a one of a kind shop.  Unique in every way, the store is just fun and so is Krystal who just lights up any room she is in!

Tomorrow they are having a special event and staying open until 7 PM downtown here in Historic Hillsboro.  The idea is to connect some great businesses together to extend business and for consumers to come and just enjoy.  Maybe stay and eat a meal and get a nail trim for your favorite pet! Here is the promotion they are putting on!

♡Mark your calendars with something fun to lift your spirits.
Saturday Feb 6th from 4pm to 7pm.
♡♡ RueCler Wine and Fancy That will be at Puppernickel Barkery for a pop up shop! Pick up a special Valentine’s Day gift, and a bottle of delightful Oregon wine.
♡To add to the fun SE 3rd Avenue businesses are open til 7pm too.
Enjoy a nice evening with us.

So Nan’s Glad Rags, Bennett’s Urban Farm Store, Mamancy Teac Company, and Puppernickel are all connected and are all featuring special sales and special values!  They are staying open until 7 PM and for those you looking to shop and eat make sure to check out the #CartsOnMain pod to the East that now features 3 amazing food carts (Made Greek, Kamaaina, and Up In Smoke).  They have a BIG outdoor #CovidSafe Tent to eat under.  Also, #Pizzario and #NobelHop are rolling music, beer, and food too.  Within 1.5 blocks you can park, shop, experience, and eat.  Many other stores in the downtown area are open too.  The neighboring businesses are all staying open late, until 7 PM, to allow better access to us all.

You know you need to get out – safely and in the fresh air- mask up and come out.  This is how we #DoHillsboro.
Watch for more Special Events around the City – and send us yours at HillsboroHerald@gmail.com and we will run a  story for you too!
