Today at Shute Park in Hillsboro, amidst the towering firs, visitors will be transformed back in time.  Throughout the park, the Portland Celtic Fantasy Faire will offer a time machine back to an earlier time.  The history of the Celtic people will be on full display as costumed attendees and performers create a magical experience.  We have been a couple of times during the event’s 9-year run, and it is truly unique and wonderful.

Winged Fairies, both young and old, will be seen about the park.  Vendors with unique gifts, food, and demonstrations will also be happening all day.  It is like going into a medieval forest and finding a gathering of fun and fantasy.  Here is the information from the event organizers. We wish everyone a great event and much merriment in Hillsboro today!

The 9th Annual Portland Celtic Fantasy Faire is on Saturday, August 24th, 2024 from 10am to 6pm.

The Faire is located at Shute Park, 953 SE Maple St., Hillsboro, Oregon 97123

We are a “Pay what you can” event, although no one is turned away for lack of funds!
Please help keep our event affordable and open to the public by paying what you can at the admissions table!

Here is the information from the organization’s About Us Page:

This Faire was started 8 years ago as a side project of the Celtic Women’s Spirituality group of Tigard, OR, and though the group no longer has a physical class meeting at this point, these courses are taught online as an extension of the work Rebekah Hetrick started 8 years ago, aiming to educate in the field of Celtic Women’s Mysteries.

We will have a variety of events that educate and create a living history experience that bring the community together. We are not only about empowering women by studying our history and ancestors, but we also wish to represent the coming together of all communities through an open event that celebrates Celtic culture, fun and fantasy for all to enjoy.

We are one hundred percent funded and sponsored by the public and supported by an entirely volunteer staff. Please come, enjoy and pay what you can at the door to keep us going! Thank you!
