If you have been around the Orenco district for very many years you have probably had a meal at the Orenco Station Grill.ย  I still remember eating there for the first time over 20 years ago as the MAX light rail was opening and nothing existed between the restaurant and the tracks.ย  It was the first quality eatery in the Orenco area and enjoyed a long run as what many felt was the best eatery in the area.ย  The food was incredible and the bar the place to be.ย  In those early days of the Silicon Forest, it was superb.

Like all good things the food slowly went downhill and by the early 2000’s the shine was off the apple.ย  Don’t get me wrong it has always been above par and a hot post to grab a drink and meet friends.ย  But the food went from great to average while at the same time many other venues came and competition increased.

In the past 2 years, the new ownership has really taken the restaurant back to its roots and the food back to the best around.ย  Chef Matt and his crew have that grill fired up and cook out in full view where diners can enjoy the process and he show!ย  Things have been good and the place was buzzing and really hitting a fast pace when COVID-19 hit.ย  Like all restaurants, the OSG battled back and went from being closed full time to take out and then back to limited hours.

Ad of October 2020 the atmosphere is back to superb and the food is back with it.ย  There is ample seating and an outdoor dining area that is still in use going into the Fall.ย  The daily brunch is a real hit and today was excellent.ย  The Grill hit a home run with us and our grandkids- yes they are Family friendly- and we enjoyed watching everyone out enjoying the sun at the nexus of the Orenco shopping and eating district at Cornell and Orenco Station Parkway where they are located.

Make sure to give them some support as we hope you will do with all local businesses.ย  Check out the breakfast dishes we enjoyed and make sure to get out and enjoy what you safely can.ย  We certainly hope the comeback of our Community continues and we look forward to our next dining experience (or take out) from our friends and neighbors at the Orenco Station Grill!
