City Hall – Photo by Dirk Knudsen – Hillsboro Herald
April 1st, 2025, will be the next Hillsboro City Council meeting.ย The Herald covers City Hall more than any other news outlet has over the years, and we keep our eyes out for issues and topics that significantly impact the people of Hillsboro and our community.ย The agenda is posted online a few days before each meeting and has been loaded with items in the past. Crazy busy and midnight Council sessions have been the norm.ย This year has been quiet so far, and next Tuesday’s meeting will continue that theme. The meeting will feature a couple of proclamations, any public comments, no old business, no new business, and will end with a work session on Hillsboro’s Climate Action Plan.ย ย That is something to get up to speed on.
Maybe things are slowing down in Hillsboro?ย Or is this an anomaly?ย With the economy slowing and all of the changes we are all going through as a Nation, quieter is better.
Those of you who have something to say to our councilors have an opportunity every Council meeting to speak on the record for 3 minutes. Take advantage of that, online or in person. It is important that they hear from you!
