This Sunday is the Equinox, and the UUCCWC Church in Orenco, Oregon, is hosting a celebration and welcoming all to attend.ย  Not only will there be food and music and other events happening all day, but the beautiful original 1909 Orenco Presbyterian Church will be open for tours, including the sanctuary.ย  This beautiful craftsman building has hosted thousands of events since it opened.ย  It was built for the people of Orenco and commissioned by the founders of the Oregon Nursery Company, Malcolm McDonald and Archibald McGill, in 1909.ย  Now is a chance for all to see a time capsule that has been lovingly maintained by the U.U.C. Church which has been worshiping there for 35 years or more.

Here is the information:

Also, here are some old clippings and a full history of this iconic building. I was a member of the Sunday School as a child and have not been back in years.ย  I suggest anyone who wants to see a great old building and meet some great neighbors attend this event!
