Select Ideas to Move Forward

In 2024, we gathered over 4,150 ideas from more than 2,400 community members to shape Hillsboro’s future as we update our Hillsboro 2035 Community Plan.

See some of the popular & creative ideas we heard from the community.

Now, the ideas you shared could become action items in the updated Plan and be brought to life by local organizations.Take the survey to select 2035 ideas and proposals to move forward(External link)

Help us select which ideas & proposals to move forward(External link) in each of the Plan’s focus areas:
(External link)

Hillsboro government is not truly interested in what the people of Hillsboro want.

Just weeks ago they were trying to do a land grab with Gov. Kotek.
They NEVER asked the people of Hillsboro what THEY wanted.
Governor Kotek chose not to attend the public hearing.
Kotek pulled out after the massive backlash.
Then Oregon lost the CHIPS money for research anyway.

Oregon Legislature passed Senate Bill 4, a controversial bill that gives Governor Kotek the ability to override local land use ordinances and designate certain lands to be brought within urban growth boundaries for specified industrial uses. 373 acres of rich farmland into Hillsboro’s urban growth boundary as part of an application for a semiconductor research site.
