Plans for the City’s next affordable housing project at NE 53rd Avenue and Hidden Creek Drive are expected to be approved by the City Council in November, with the project set to break ground in 2021.

Approximately 150 affordable apartments are anticipated across from 53rd Avenue Community Park — a short walk to the closest MAX station.

The project is expected to be complete in 2023, with a focus on serving low-income families and individuals in the workforce, especially families of color.

This will be the first project in Hillsboro to use funds from Metro’s housing bond. It is anticipated to include:

  • four (4) apartments with four (4) bedrooms
  • 46 3-bedroom townhomes
  • 56 2-bedroom units
  • 44 1-bedroom apartments
